The Principals, Kate Richards and Allister Langlois are the joint Managing Directors and Proprietors of ODL. Founded in 1989 and built from a totally independent base, the ODL Group has included UK Companies which delivered IT training and accredited NVQ programmes.
In addition to extensive professional involvement in training and qualifications, they are both actively involved in schools management in the Island of Guernsey . Allister is a non-States Member of the States of Guernsey Education Department and Kate is Vice President of the Board of Governors of Guernsey Ladies' College
As senior consultants, Kate and Allister work as a team of two on consultancy projects for clients across a wide range of sectors in the United Kingdom , the Channel Islands and the Far East . The majority of their organization development and customer service projects involve working with organizations that are experiencing change and are aware that this must be managed effectively.

CAREERS PRIOR TO FORMATION OF ODL
Having worked together within ODL since 1989 current professional and consultancy credentials are derived mainly from recent projects. This is especially true since the team prides itself in being at the cutting edge of organization development techniques.
KATE RICHARDS
Worked at the Guernsey College of Further Education and was responsible for establishing the Management Short Course programme. Kate was Deputy Head of Business Studies responsible for the Management and Supervisory section. This followed a career break. Prior to that she worked at the Imperial Group in the United Kingdom and was Group Senior Training Officer with a particular responsibility for establishing a department to research, evaluate and provide information in all areas relating to management education and training. At that time the Imperial Group was extremely diversified with many food and drink manufacturing, paper, board and packaging interests as well as the core tobacco business.

ALLISTER
LANGLOIS
Worked as a Senior Officer in the Guernsey Civil Service first with the Policy Planning Unit and next as Personnel Planning and Development Officer. Prior to that worked at the Guernsey College of Further Education as Senior Lecturer and Deputy Head of Business Studies with special responsibility for Management and in-house consultancy and development programmes. Also worked as ‘A' level Examiner, Moderator for BTEC National courses and External Examiner for the Certificate of Management Studies. This followed an early career in Further Education and Computer Operations.
